First step forward to Universal Health care.
I was listening to the radio news this AM and heard somting interesting.

A New Mexico state senator introduced a bill (which failed of coarse) that require insurance companies to submit how much was spent on health care and how much on compensation for administration.

And that is that is the key to getting SPHC on a federal level.
First let us find out what the facts are…Which is better, the system we have now or something else?
And to know that we need the facts…
Empower a Congressional comity to investigate this question so that the congress can make and informed decision on the question, even if necessary subpoenaing the finantual records of the insurance companies.

Does that thought make me a radical or just some one who would like answers based on facts.

I heard that Democrats are proposing that one can buy into Medicare if older than 55
It was in the Washington Post last week.

I like your idea, though :hi:

2. Since Medicare actually IS single payer for one age category--
--that would be a step in the right direction, I think.

3. Then they would just have to determine which is the better
Allowing everyone to buy into medicare or pay for the indigent health care like they now do because so many do not have insurance.

5. Yes, it is an elegant idea. I think it would be instantly popular.
Hope they can pull it off quickly. That could set the stage for the long process of "health care reform". (AKA: "Health care lobbyists trying to stop reform)
