Every day it becomes more clear who controls "the message."
Today, Chuck Hagel (R - Waffling) sided with the Democrats. And sure enough, he's suddenly being called a "maverick" by every Cabal News Channel.

He's running for president.

"Maverick" worked for McCain before he sold his soul. So the republics need a new "maverick." Enter Hagel.

I've lots more to say on this issue, but it can best be summed up with the following...

"It's bullshit bullshit bullshit bullshit bullshit bullshit bullshit bullshit bullshit."

Hagel is a good poll reader. But of course...polls don't mean anything.

BUT the right bullshit does. Hagel will be a very formidable contender for the rethug nomination.

2. To be fair...
...Hagel has been against the Iraq fiasco for a long time now, before any other Republic congresscritter I can think of.
