Help me understand the AIG bailout...
Edited on Mon Mar-02-09 05:41 PM by BayouBengal07
So AIG just asked for more government money to stay afloat.

My question is (and this just dawned on me, so I may not be thinking it through), after they accrue enough capital to stay in business, how will they remain sustainable? They are a company that depends on clients for profit, correct? Who will want to brave the risk and the stigma that will come with doing business with AIG?

I'll admit I'm the last thing from an economist.
