Capitalism Going Down Same Dead Path as Communism
When the Soviet Union fell, a major news magazine was interviewing some Soviet dissidents who were ecstatic at it's collapse....but then, they stopped in the middle of the interview to issue a warning to the US and all other capitalistic nations. They warned that "unbridled, unregulated" capitalism would end in the same collapse as the communist Soviet Union (note: the USSR did not collapse because of Ronnie the Idiot--it collapsed because it financially collapsed). They said the collapse of capitalism would be worse and take the whole world down if not watched and regulated. (Do I need to type further?) My, they must have had a crystal ball (complete with seeing some middle-east wars like the USSR was involved in, etc.) I believe they get the "spot on" award.........

2. Every boom is the End of History, profits forever, we'll never see another recession again.
Every bust is the End of History, we'll spiral down forever until capitalism is dead and buried.

4. utter rubbish
people have called capitalism dead MANY times (including the great depression) and it's always been chicken little hysteria.

and we don't HAVE "unbridled unregulated" capitalism. in many respects we had nowhere NEAR enough regulation, but there are plenty of examples less regulated than us (singpapore).

but the argument that this is the "collapse" of capitalism is ridiculous.

call me in 10 yrs and you can admit you were wrong :)

rock and roll isn't dead either.

general franco is though! :)
