Limbaugh lashes back at Steele: "You are head of the RNC-You are not head of the Republican Party"

Limbaugh lashes back at Steele for 'entertainer' diss
David Edwards and Stephen C. Webster
Published: Monday March 2, 2009

................

Monday, Limbaugh tore into Steele, suggesting that as a Republican leader, he's off to a "shaky start."

"Michael Steele, you are head of the RNC," said Limbaugh. "You are not head of the Republican Party."

............................

"I hope... he realizes he's not a talking head pundit," said Limbaugh on Monday. After telling him to go behind the scenes and do the work he's been hired to do, the radio host added, "He's off to a shaky start."

The first clue that Limbaugh would lampoon the GOP leader came in an e-mail to Politico.

"I’ll handle it on the radio," he wrote.

.....................

"Don't underestimate the intelligence of this audience," he continued. "Republicans and conservatives are sick and tired of being talked down to. Until you should them the respect they deserve, you are going to have a hard time rebuilding your party."

8. It's HipHop Steele against Sat. Night Fever Limbaugh
Steele wants to attract a younger, cooler crowd to the GOP by saying he's going for the hiphop crowd. This annoucement is followed by the hilarious theatre of Michelle Bachman, whiter than white and about as hiphop as Taylor Swift, screeching to Steele "You DA MAN, Michael Steele! You DA MAN!" Meanwhile, Rush shows up for the cameras on Sat. dressed like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever.

11. "I'll handle it on the radio"
Translation: I want to talk in my own environment, where I control everything from the loudness of the microphone to when to go to break, and nothing gets on the air without my express permission and say-so.

Rush likes to argue with inanimate objects, such as audiotapes, videotapes, texts of speeches and web pages. Real, live people who can talk back scare him right down to his silk undies.

16. If Steele isn't the "head" of the Republican Party,
Limbaugh is certainly the ass of it or the boil on the ass of it.
