They were just talking about what the fight is going to be about
when congress reconvenes. The reporter who answered said EVERYWHERE, sooo I've been thinking...I'm sure Obama is throwing out all these different pprojects because he wants to take advantage of his popularity, but just maybe there's another reason. How are the Pubs going to be able to fight him on EVERY ISSUE THAT'S OUT THERE?

The reporter began to list all the different things, and that list is LONG! The Pubs are very good at fighting one battle, but I question if they'll be able to juggle all those balls at once and even partially keep their base?

1. ... and if they DO fight everything the President proposes ...
... every single thing ... what does that make them look like?
Obstructionists who don't care about their constituents.

So they can't realistically oppose everything, while proposing nothing in exchange or cooperation, lest they further demonize themselves as out-of-touch with the average guy.

YAY Team Obama!! :applause:

2. How hard is it to just say "NO" to everything. I don't think they will have a hard time
doing that.

I do hope they have a hard time being successful.

3. Congress is notorious...
For short hours, short work weeks, etc. Damn that Obama for making them do a full 40 hour workweek! That's my knee jerk reaction to the stupidity that was the GOP talking point this weekend that Congress can't handle all these things at once.

I don't think Obama has much choice but to multi-task like this. So much has been left undone, and everything else BushCo did over the past eight years has gone seriously and dangerously awry.

4. it's hard to come up with that many stupid catch phrases
that don't mean anything. After a while you run the risk of sounding contrite and ignorant.
My current (not) favorite is "80's style French Socialism" (without the healthcare and housing and welfare).

5. I believe that is part of the plan......As our President found out
during the GE that McCain, and by extension, the GOP do not know how to multitask.....since McCain had to suspend his campaign to go and save Washington from itself, or something like that. By the end of the day, not only had McCain failed at multitasking, he had failed had doing anything at all; and he was supposed to be one of the better ones in the GOP!

6. You said it better than I did. They reaally are good at the catch phrases, but to find that
many all at one time is almost impossible. I suspect it will drive the media nuts too. They don't do well at multi tasking either!
