1. Another Reason We're Going To Lose Again In '08
You might as well just hand the repubs another 4 years to Fuck up this country.

There might not be much left to leave the next generation, of course, they'll be so deeply in debt, it won't matter.

It's no wonder the Corporate Media Whores want her so much. She means 4 more years of repub rule and more corporate favors.

2. Because, of course, the primary is all sewn up a year before the fact. Sheesh.
The Evil Cabal decides who wins, always. :eyes:

5. I agree
Hillary will not win in 2008, that is why the Republicans want her to run. And -- the DLC wants her to run (knowing she will not win) -- to get back at the progressives for making Dean chair of the DNC.

She is just another Nader like candidate; chosen by the public opinion engineers -- to throw a monkey wrench -- into the political process and divide the democrats, especially in the swing states.

3. vote for Hillary against who?
She's far from my favorite, but does this mean if Hillary is nominated, the Republics can run anybody at all, no matter how putrid and corrupt they are and 50% of the voters won't vote for her anyway.

Has this country gone that insane

7. That's just the downside for Democrats.
The republicans have their own downside. All their candidates are "unworthy" to the unforgiving christian right. Those folks will stay home in droves on election day if Giuliani or McCain or most anyone else leads the ticket.

Plus, people might start getting tired of the war in Iraq. They might even start blaming republicans for it. I have every confidence that the war will still be going strong through all of 2008 (and well beyond).

If 30 percent of the voters vote for Hillary, she could win. So far there's nothing exciting to make it a high voter turnout.

4. Count me among that 50%
Mainly because I think she's got too much baggage. Not that some of her ideas aren't good. But far too many people on both sides just can't stand her.

The woman is extraordinarily talented and smart. But if the Democratic party nominates her, we're giving away the WH to the Repubs.

6. proof that 1/2 of america still thinks straight.
Only 50%? I bet that grows, as she panders more and continues her campaign by focus group.

8. Good grief, it means nothing yet
What a meaningless poll and the results tell us nothing except that respondents prefer she not be the candidate. She's running against vapor and 50% say they'll vote for vapor? Absurd! If this is true, then she wouldn't win the nomination. If she does win the nomination, this poll is meaningless because she'll have an opponent, a message, and there is a concrete decision for people. Hypothetical polls such as this are a waste of time. How do people who jump on this to dismiss Hillary square it with other polls showing she'd beat any Repub? Did the pollsters get figures for Obama, Edwards, etc?
I'm currently undecided myself, but seriously hope that my choices are at least between a potentially great president and another choice. However, if the choice is simply which would be least bad, I would choose the least bad. Anyone who wouldn't do the same is not looking for progress, but giving up.

9. If people are given the choice between a real Republican
And a faux Republican..

They'll vote for the real Republican every time.
