1. I'm not sure that the Dow accurately reflects Main Street. It does reflect Wall Street, however.(nt)

3. The entire stock market has been a big bubble.
And all bubbles eventually bust. I would think that we are getting close to where the market should be, without the bells and whistles, just about where it was during the Clinton years? In other words, we are in the process of returning to "normal" on the stock market. At least, until the next bubble.

5. I love the "stock market" because it's just a polit bureau.
Just listen to all the inane details they pull in on one of these investor TV shows. "Consumer spending on toothbrushes was down last month."
