Reminder: Thom Hartmann is no longer on Air America.
As of today, he has moved to Dial Global. You won't be able to listen to him using Air America's stream (AAR will have The David Bender show in his place), so you'll have to use of his affiliate's streams, like http://www.1190novam.com/DynamoPages.php?PID=22">1190 KNUV in Phoenix, in order to listen live online.

Also, Thom has a new phone number: 1-866-987-THOM (8466), and a http://www.thomhartmann.com">new website.

2. He switched syndicators.
Edited on Mon Mar-02-09 09:51 AM by clbuck
He'll be on all of the radio stations that he was on before, it just means you won't be able to listen to him on Air America's web stream.

I just wanted to inform DU of this, so that there won't be panic at 12 PM Eastern time, with people saying "What happened to Thom?"

6. Yes
http://www.thomhartmann.com/members/

iTunes is still how to get it, but we'll now have to pay another separate subscription for the "Thomcast", just like the "Stephcast" and the "Edcast" and 2nd Thought.

It was great a couple years ago, wasn't it, when one subscription to AAR got all the shows. Now that they've left AAR each show has a separate fee.

18. That really sucks.
If I had known this was coming I never would have renewed to Air America. Even worse for me is that I don't have an IPod, I have a Creative Zen V Plus. That means I'd have to use Itunes to download Hartmann podcasts and find a program to convert the MP4 into an MP3.

:(

5. I lke that he has remained an independent and only uses different syndicators
streaming his Portland local show right now.

Randi and Malloy might want to try that themselves to stay out of all the talk radio drama

10. If you keep iTunes open a lot like I do, then just move down from Air America
to AM 1090 three stations below AA.

19. Thanks!
I've been trying to figure out how to listen to him all morning. I tried to down load Quiktime 7 and Silverlight, both recommended on KOPJ's website, my version of Mac OS10, does not support these....Do you know if Rachel Maddow is on am 1090?
Thanks again for the info, iTunes is the only way I can listen to these great people!

Here is their list of shows.

What OS are you using? I don't have any problems using OS 10.4.11. I did have problems back in the days of Panther and OS 9.1

I can't get him on radio and he's the only radio show I really liked to listen to. I can't carry my computer around while I do things and drive around doing my chores.

20. Not to assume you can afford it, but if you can...
Edited on Mon Mar-02-09 02:29 PM by ihavenobias
you can get a good, cheap (refurbished) MP3 player for around $30. And there are wireless FM transmitters for around $20 new (plus batteries) that allow you to tune your car radio to static and listen to podcasts in your car.

That's how I often listen to Hartmann and TYT, via podcasts. That way I can do chores, run errands, commute, etc., all while listening to great talk radio.

16. Hartmann is lambasting NPR for having Fox News's Juan Williams
on the air.

Williams is not going to enjoy the upcoming revolution.
