But, you want to know who America's oppressors are?
You really want to know?
It is you, your ilk, and your backers!
Here are the parties that are guilty:
The Bush Administration - For the past 8 years, we heard that the economy was fine and that we shouldn't be worrying about it. Yeah, the buddies of the Bush Administration were doing GREAT, and that's all that mattered, right?
Big Oil - Oil is a necessary component of our economy, a component of the many products we use in our everyday lives and is used to transport goods all over our nation. But, big oil companies have been acting like drug dealers recently, and oil was their main supply. From openly lying to Congress about their role in the Energy Task Force to making record profits while receiving handouts from the government, Big Oil has shown how irresponsible it is about it's role in this economic crisis.
The Republican Party - Deregulation and blind support of Bush, what more is there to say?
Wall Street - Our government and the 'liberal' media used Wall Street as the sole indicator of the economy. It only looked bad to them when Wall Street got bad. The people in Wall Street, the head of NASDAQ, and others should have stepped up and said "Guys, we aren't the only indicator of the economy!" But that never happened, why is that? Because they were doing fine, and that is all that mattered, was looking out for number one.
This is a "quartet of irresponsibility", yet they are the ones who are responsible for this crisis.
The quartet of irresponsibility lied to us and lied to Congress about their roles in destabilizing the economy.
The quartet of irresponsibility takes as much as it can from the American People, charging us high prices for gas and prescription drugs, making the purchasing of either into a burden.
The quartet of irresponsibility has refused to have proper and fair oversight over it and has refused to pay the same taxes that we all pay.
The quartet of irresponsibility has tried to blame this crisis on the poor and on minorities, the people who are the most powerless among us.
The quartet of irresponsibility is waging class warfare on everyone else, making themselves richer, the rest of us poorer, and has blamed their incompetent and corrupt mismanagement of the economy on the most powerless among us.
"When a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."
- The Declaration of Independence.
The quartet of irresponsibility doesn't provide for any of our security, so why do we continue to tolerate them?
