About Bobby Jindal
40% of the voters in his state voted for David Duke when he ran for US Senate in 1990. Then Duke ran for governor in 91 and got 32% of the vote. I hate state bashing so I almost didn't post this. But I can't help but wondering how can they go from 40% for Duke to electing Jindal?

5. Because Karl Rove's plans worked...
...The GOP set-up Blanco in the Katrina fiasco and the slapdash painting of her transpired exactly as Rove and company anticipated.

Louisiana was one of the last Dem outposts in the Deep South and that was eradicated in 2005 while America just stood by and willfully ignored the brazen tactics and strategy laid before them.

11. No but sentiments about the Dem nominee...
...changed after Katrina and a big portion of the Democratic electorate were scattered to the four winds in the wake of the disaster.

The administration didn't feel the same "urgency" they would have had something other than one of the last Democratic strongholds in the South been at stake. They put the Dems on buses and sent them away.

8. They vote for the "talk" not the "walk"
They want war and support it, period, but they elected Bush. Consider his war record.

They elected Reagan, no war record and a fairly moderate governor (not president) but he talked the talk.
Never mind that he and Nancy w2ere "show people" and had a lively past.

Jindal talks the talk - he's' an idiot - stnads up for teaching creationism (what a total fool); willing to
turn down unemployment extention funded by the feds; allows 200,000 Katrina evacuees to stay away (from the
original storm); and so forth.

They're told he's "smart," which he isn't and then they think it's OK to vote for him because he mouths the
ridiculous patter - "Americans can do anything" & using Louisiana as a national model. He said nothing of
substance in his response and he said it very poorly. He also told a whopper about his conversation with
a local Sheriff.

The guy is a joke. Some con said that it would be 30 years until he was as old as McCain. Well, so what.
He'll either be smarter, in which case he might get re-elected once or twice or heretired somewhere.
