IF I were the devil, I would quietly influence all world leaders.
I would pretend to be sharing the word of God so they would listen to what I had to say
I would convince them that anyone questioning God's existence (or my existence) was evil.
I would teach them that killing in God's name was acceptable, maybe even holy.
I would promote an idea that those in leadership positions and those of great wealth deserved it because they worked hard and/or were blessed by God, while those who were poor deserved it because they were lazy and faithless.
I would teach them to be more concerned about the unborn than the care of children already alive.
I would invent machines to keep people alive artificially, but teach people to cry "murder" when some one terminally ill and in pain wanted help ending their life rather than continue such an existence.
I would teach people that it is okay to deny medical care to those who can't afford to pay.
I would give approval to the idea that animals can be exploited and manipulated at our will since God gave us "dominion" over them.
I would teach people it is okay to pollute the earth because man cannot destroy God's invention.
I would make it okay to force their interpretation of God on others.
I would develop drugs to treat illnesses rather than promoting general health. I would charge ridiculous amounts for them, allowing a select few to get wealthy at the expense of others.
I would attack the right of two men or two women to form a loving bond recognized by the state. I would fight to keep them from being able to provide a home for needy children rather than fighting to prevent having needy children in the first place.
I would fight any art that questions society's norms or provokes thought. I wouldn't say this, but any art that doesn't glorify God is suspect.
I would persuade the world that bigotry, racism, xenophobia and misogyny were acceptable and they could use the word of God to justify it.
I would dull the minds of all religious people, to make them believe that they do not need science, only blind faith and obedience.
I GUESS IT'S PRETTY MUCH ALREADY HAPPENED
