We found out there was no investigation as required by executive order
of the leak of classified information (Valarie Plame). Investigation into the outing was required by executive order. It still is required and there still is no investigation being conducted by the Administration..They don't even want to follow their own damn rules let alone America's rules...

1. With so many investigations going at once, they must have
missed that one.

2. They are above the law. Like the kings and queens of old,
they think laws were made for commoners. I wonder if the majority of the American people think so?

3. Enough to make one wonder if this administration is but one vast criminal conspiracy
Edited on Tue Mar-27-07 10:56 AM by indepat
whose sole purpose is to implement an extreme right-wing PNAC agenda totally foreign to our Constitution, founding doctrines, the rule of law, and international law.

Edited to add final concept

4. There's no investigation because they know what they did!
They can't be bothered to fake an investigation. They think they're above the law.

5. Ah, but someone is still demanding an investigation - Henry Waxman:

On March 16 letter, Rep. Waxman (D- Calif.) wrote to Joshua Bolten, currently White House Chief of Staff, stating in part:

The testimony of Mr. Knodell appears to describe White House decisions that were inconsistent with the directives of Executive Order 12958, which you signed in March 2003. Under this executive order, the White House is required to "take appropriate and prompt corrective action" whenever there is a release of classified information. Yet Mr. Knodell could describe no such actions after the disclosure of Ms. Wilson's identity.

In closing, Waxman tasked Bolten to do the following things:

(1) to investigate how the leak occurred; (2) to review the security clearances of the White House officials implicated in the leak; (3) to impose administrative or disciplinary sanctions on the officials involved in the leak; and (4) to review and revise existing White House security procedures to prevent future breaches of national security.

8. They can't impose administrative or disciplinary sanctions on the officials involved
because Bush, Cheney, and Rove were all involved!

We're asking the bank robber to investigate his own robbery, and punish himself.

It ain't gonna happen.

I seem to remember Bush stating that an investigation was underway, although that was years ago. Guess it slipped through the cracks somehow... :eyes:

11. Sometimes I think they just make it up as they go along.
No biggie.

Someone in the admin break the law? Just have * issue an Executive Order to fix it.

If a law gets passed that will create problems for them, no biggie, * will just issue a signing statement to reinterpret the law as he sees fit.

The only problem is, it isn't supposed to work this way. And we have to depend on Congress to see to it that the laws are enforced.

12. I think that's precisely what's been happening! I just hope patriots
like Waxman can expose all the lies this admin has been involved in.

10. Because if they had investigated
...they would have found a crime. No investigation, no crime. See? :)
