I realize there have been other threads....but Gov. Jindal was so gratuitously insulting
on The Today Show this morning. I don't care what his ethnic heritage is; he is a blathering, opportunistic ass.

I keep noticing how all R's, however, are tripping all over themselves trying not to say anything negative about Obama. Because they know how wildly popular he is.

1. "blathering, opportunistic ass"
That's it exactly. Jindal thought that last night was his 2004 Democratic convention keynote. He massively overplayed and his speech was focus-grouped into hilarity. Get used to Louisiana, Bobby!

3. plus there were factual errors in his comments about
Louisiana's "recovery."

One of the best economic stimulus projects around could be to shore up the bogs and wetlands and water arteries of Louisiana. Unfortunately, over ten years ago, the need for the project was hi-jacked by a public relations firm that tried to sell it as a environmental issue rather than an economic development necessity.

2. unctuous little bastard, ain't he?
from dictionary.com:

Characterized by affected, exaggerated, or insincere earnestness: "the unctuous, complacent court composer who is consumed with envy and self-loathing" (Rhoda Koenig).

Synonyms: These adjectives mean insincerely, self-servingly, or smugly agreeable or earnest: an unctuous toady; gave the dictator a fulsome introduction; oily praise; oleaginous hypocrisy; smarmy self-importance.

yup -- that's *want to sell you a used car* Jindal.

5. Dont tell anyone but the size of LA state government
has increased since the fiscal conservative jindal became governor. He should start ensuring his reelection which is now tentative at best. All he has done his entire political career is run for office and nothing else.
