Afghanistan: Stay or go?

Many, if not most DUers agree that the Iraq invasion and occupation is an unmitigated disaster.

I'd like a temperature check on what you think about the Afghanistan occupation. My personal opinion is it's time to leave.

What is the point of our presence there?
Are we serious about installing yet another puppet government?
How many lives and how many billions will this cost us?
We are clearly in a un-winnable situation there. GET OUT NOW!

Afghanistan threaten the security of the United States?

Of course there are "vital national security interests" there (which happen yet again to be on someone else's land) but shhhh don't ask what those are.
