Jindal Will Not Be President
I may be wrong, but I do not think Bobby Jindal will ever be President of this country. My opinion has nothing to do with his heritage, but with him as a person. I do not see how people can really take him seriously. When he first came out and started his speech I also broke out into laughter. He just looked geeky and foolish to me. Beyond that throughout his speech I thought he sounded like an animated character from some cartoon show. I also happened to not like his speech. However, I am not sure too many people outside of Louisiana will take his seriously as a candidate for President.

1. I'm hoping Palin wins the 2012 primary and picks Jindal as her VP.
My god, would that be spectacular.

For democrats, that is.

2. I would HOPE you're right, but:
Consider objective evaluations of the chances of Reagan in 1976 or Bush Lite in 1996,
and remember PT Barnum's famous phrase (even if it wasn't really said by PT Barnum).

4. We can never be that lucky
We were lucky that Palin stayed in this time around. Stick a fork in her, she's done. So is Bobby Jindal.

5. I read a comment somewhere that he...

..."sounds like he should have a claymation pony as a sidekick"

Pretty funny, also pretty accurate. His cadence was "sing-song", delivery was abominable, substance was ZERO.

"Bobby" got thrown under the bus by his party as the latest "sacrificial lamb", IMHO.

6. If Rushicans seriously view him as their new boy wonder
that explains why they are in this mess.

7. I don't think so either. I think all the Jindal threads are probably a waste.
He's more of a laugh than a threat.

8. How many people would vote for a guy who won't take government
money to distribute to unemployed people? And it goes without saying, when you get down to the far right base, they won't vote for him because he looks "ferrin."

9. It might have helped if he had had something to say that was worth
listening to.

I didn't hear one point voters could hang their hats on.

Also, he had the unfortunate luck to follow a speech by a master orator who did in fact have quite a bit of listenable material.

Huck and Willard will be more difficult to dispatch, but last night, President Obama made a strong down payment on a second term.

10. You are correct.
Last night's speech was the end of his presidential hopes.
He should not have made it.

The Psychic Consortium...
correctly predicted Obama's victory and many other poltical events.
