7. And after Maddow's short, correct reaction: Tweety truly elaborated and mostly nailed it...

And I'm the furthest thing from a tweety fan. But he correctly cut straight to (most of) the core issue: repubs wanted someone who wasn't one of those who drove us into the ditch. And as tweety said, it's unfortunate that they chose the guy whose state is among the biggest sucklers from the nation's teat.

What would have made it a little more understandable (and craven), would have been for tweety to point out the recent republican pattern: palin, steele, jindal: the republican's jackass attempt to match the our Obama on the non-white-male thing.

Of course, what they refuse/are unable to understand, is that it isn't just ANY non-white-male that has value - it's TALENTED or GENIUS non-white-males that have value. And when that's understood, it becomes clear that this sought-after leader's color/gender are not quite as important as republicans are anachronistically stuck in thinking that they are.

Unbelievably stupid. Beyond belief. So, government fails when Republicans are in charge. What's new? Remember Nixon? Remember Reagan? Remember the two Bushes? Republicans have this way of making sure government fails. It's not the fault of government. It's the fault of the Republicans.
