I am loving that Gonzo was in that big meeting.... was, in fact,
the big cheese at that meeting . . but did not participate... He was "just present". .

He didn't know whether or not his staff was firing people for political purposes (he still doesn't. . gosh)

It's astounding, really.

1. It's surely amazing...
Every person in charge of a department in this administration, knows absolutely nothing about nothing when something goes wrong.

Didn't this start during reagan's administration when he said he didn't know that Ollie North was selling weapons to Iran out of the whitehouse basement. I guess it worked so well when North fell on his sword for the gipper, that bush and his minions are bringing it back.

Another amazing thing....here we have the head of a department and he doesn know what his underlings are doing, they are the ones running the show.

7. Since they serve at the President's pleasure, where is his firing directive?
Edited on Mon Mar-26-07 09:01 PM by Old and In the Way
The US A doesn't serve at the AG's pleasure or his CoS....or any other Executive Committeeperson's pleasure. It's a Presidential Commission.

So where's Bush's official directive? If there isn't one....why not?
