4. Thank goodness he didn't resign last week.
Edited on Mon Mar-26-07 05:12 PM by tanyev
This just gets better and better.

SAY...when he gave that first news conference saying he would not resign, wasn't his reason for staying because he needed to "protect the kids"?????

5. Rudy
As much as I dislike the man, I will give him credit for this. He never attempted to cover up any of his dalliances. It was "in your face" for everything he did.

9. How would we know if good old Rudy never attempted to cover up any of his dalliances?
If he had gotten away with covering something we wouldn't know about it.

6. yes, hookergate...
Edited on Mon Mar-26-07 05:13 PM by LSK
The guys who were working with Cunningham were also offering up hookers at the Watergate Hotel. This story broke about a year ago but then died. Oh yeah that would also have to do with Carol Lam being fired....

7. No real cover-up, just a failure to prosecute.
The matter should have been pressed though.

12. "No one sustained bodily injury"
So that makes child abuse okay?

From the World Net Daily article:

"In the Texas Youth Commission scandal, Texas Ranger official Burzynski received a July 28, 2005, letter from Bill Baumann, assistant U.S. attorney in Sutton's office, declining prosecution on the argument that under 18 U.S.C. Section 242, the government would have to demonstrate that the boys subjected to sexual abuse sustained "bodily injury." Baumann wrote that, "As you know, our interviews of the victims revealed that none sustained 'bodily injury.'"
