Amazing - I'm watching Hillary Clinton live on BBC International
as she speaks in Indonesia. I checked M$Greedia and cannot even find it on CSpan.
I think it's time for the Obama administration to find a new concept - the notion of a war against terrorism is neo-con bullshit.

3. The war against terrorism isn't bullshit. How it's been done the last 8 years - that's bullshit

5. You cannot wage wars against vague amorphous concepts
like terrorism. Personally I'm anti-war but fighting against shadows makes no sense.
To continue discussing spreading democracy, modernity and fighting terrorism is the same old bullshit. At least she mentioned science and technology and climate change.

7. The only reason they want to "spread democracy" is to create friendly markets.
Markets could perhaps be more stable under another form of government, but we want to ensure we have ties such that their resources will always be available to us.

9. re: "waging war against concepts"...
I think I recall President Obama saying as much in his Grant Park speech. Unfortunately I don't have the time to check it out. Maybe someone with a better memory than mine can corroborate?

12. He said you can't wage a war against concepts.
:hi:

I'm pretty sure he said that. I see now that my previous post was too vague. Or was it? :silly:

6. Call a spade a spade. Its bullshit.
Its a fictitious creation of the last administration, which was used as an excuse for every damn corrupt thing they did.

10. You. Can't. Fight. A. War. Against. A. Tactic.
There is no military solution to terrorism. The more "terrorists" you kill, the more you create.

14. And we're all left trying to figure out
who was the bigger terrorist. You're 100% correct.

15. Why didn't the USA declare war on sneak attacks instead of Japan after Pearl Harbor?
Wouldn't that have make as much sense as declaring war on another tactic called terrorism?
