11 year old girl stands up to Taliban by writing poetry
Edited on Wed Feb-18-09 05:00 AM by harry_pothead
about the pain and sadness of girls being taken out of school.

She's brave for doing this, risking her life. The pen is truly mightier than the sword.

2. She is risking her life and her families lives by doing this.
I hope she stays safe. She is indeed a brave little woman. Maybe she will grow up to lead the region into a new day.

I hate to see our sisters suffering under those monsters.

5. What a wonderful girl. I CAN NOT BELIEVE, in this day and age, we are talking about
a group such as the Taliban banning girls from doing ANYTHING. Words cannot describe how revolting I find the actions of these so-called men. I hope she stays safe and lives to see the day when the Taliban is no more.

7. I know, it's just still astounding to me. I know it shouldn't be but it is.
It makes me physically ill.

9. I hope she's not alone
The Taliban, and their like in other parts of the world will not be defeated by killing them. Only by silencing hteir ideology and not bowing to the fear they wish to spread can they be excised.

May this little girl be a snowball at the top of a mountain.
