Bolton Has HIS ASS KICKED By Tony Benn Of The BBC
This is a beautiful sight to behold. Watch it and cringe that this moron is representing the United States of America...still...in countries that were previously our good friends.

I mean, look at Bolton's eyes. He's doing the patented Little Bastard "Oh My God, I No Longer Control The Dialogue" Blinky-Blinks!

Many thanks to Hoff of Hoffmania! for this lovely catch:

p.s. Be sure to listen to the latest GOP talking point, i.e., LIE. "Oh, there is PLENTY of opposition to the war in the GOP. Always was. It wasn't just the libruls." Uh, no. You aren't going to get away with that whopper of a lie, because we won't allow you to. You voted for war, not once, but twice. You vilified those of us who stood up for what is just and decent in this world and arrested us and charged us and spied on us and called us terrorists. You do NOT get to change the dialogue and revise history on this one, GOP. We are holding you accountable for being the warmongers that you have shown yourselves to be ever since your little thug stole office back in 2000.

1. Tony Benn is a fascinating character.
He was born into the British aristocracy as the 2nd Viscount Stansgate, but relinquished his title (and actually fought for the passage of the law that allowed him to do so) because of his egalitarian views. He has served as a cabinet minister in several Labour governments and is at the far left of the political (something that makes him a bit of an outsider in the rightish "New Labour" party).

I've heard Tony speak on many occasions, and he's a rare voice of sanity, reason and humanity among the sea of self-interested political hacks.

He's also the only person I've seen who's stopped Ali-G dead in his tracks.

Tony takes no shit from anyone. He's a political giant.

3. Related to Charles Darwin
Distantly, by marriage, through the Wedgewood link. Or so I surmise.

4. When I first heard Tony Benn speak,
I thought his voice sounded like Sean Connery. I wouldn't let you get away with that lie even if you bought it at Burger King.
