"Record nails broken in car crash"

An American woman listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the world's longest fingernails has had them broken off in a car crash.

Lee Redmond from Salt Lake City, Utah, had not cut her nails since 1979.

Their combined length was more than 28ft (8.5m), with the longest nail - on her right thumb - measuring 2ft 11in (89cm), Guinness said.

Ms Redmond suffered serious injuries in the crash, but is expected to make a full recovery.

21. You have to wonder what goes through someone's head when they do things like that.

Is it just for the attention? Does she think its attractive? Is it a great way to look like you're doing everything for yourself and still keep potential partners away? Does she just want the ultimate in pampering on every level?? I bet you could have at least one really interesting conversation with her. She probably is shocked by the freedom of not having those things . . . and probably pretty devastated at the same time. Its the thing that brings people to her, gives them reason to help her but yet never lets them get TOO close.
It takes all kinds . . . and that's what keeps life interesting, I guess . . . .
