58/42 huh....
...Guess the 58% in spending will go to the states that have Democratic senators and 42% will go to tax cuts in the Republicant states.

Good luck eating those tax cuts, morons.

3. 42% for whom?
It's all fine and good to use simple numbers and concepts like "tax cuts are bad," but if those tax cuts are for the middle class everyone here is griping for nothing.

6. Tax cuts won't do any of us a damned bit of good
if there's no income to tax.

7. There'll be income if people can keep their jobs because the
middle class is spending more money in our consumer-based economy.

8. That's what the GOP always tell us
and it always fails miserably because middle class people see nickels and dimes while the wealthy see thousands and thousands.

10. Right, that's what they say when they're giving tax cuts to their rich buddies.
Who then horde the money and bury it in their backyard.

The middle class doesn't do that. They spend it.

So what I'm saying is if the vast majority of those tax cuts went to the middle class, they did great.

12. How will people keep their jobs..
if global corporations are bailing out of the United States? That 58,000 number that came out today was about 'job-cuts', not people that have been laid-off, those are jobs that have been cut will not be coming back. Unemployment claims are running at almost 500,000 a week..or 2 million a month. But I'm sure Halliburton will enjoy their tax cut.

14. That's where the spending comes in.
It's a dynamic bill.

My hope lies with the alternative energy spending- that's where we need to be. Only greater efficiency will ultimately support our standard of living.

16. Where does the 'spending' come in..
when you're giving more tax-cuts to global corporations? What does that buy? How have Bush's tax-cuts worked out for you?

13. What are you saying?
Who is demanding tax cuts? How can we have numbers laying around when no one has seen the revised bill?

when the Senate and Congress meet. Congress is not going to like this shit. Okay, I need to drink MORE because I'm still shaking with rage over this atrocity.
