It was 46 million when Kerry was running.

Population's gone up since then.

Just last week, we lost over 150,000 jobs.

A record 19 million homes are vacant. ( http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x4974843 )

Forty-six million? I ain't buying it.

1. People who can't afford to see a doctor die off?
Sounds like another edition of Lucky Ducky.

So it never changes.

3. Since most people have insurance through their employers
and since most people can't afford Cobra plans

and since we've had massive layoffs

of course that number is BS.

Let's get an accurate number before we even try to start discussing healthcare.

4. It's 47 million
It was 41 million in 2001 and 45.8 million in 2004. It'll probably hit 50 million this year.

5. they stopped counting
as one who is without and has been for over 4 yrs, I don't believe they're really counting. We're just another statistic that doesn't have a real face.

6. There are many more millions who are UNDERinsured
No one ever talks about that.

Michael Moore covered the issue in 'Sicko.'
