A new record! In the time it took the TV to come on and for me to get remote to change channel
Morning Joe ENRAGED me. What is that? About 5 seconds? I just had time to hear him utter the words "It's just building the welfare state" or something like that - keywords being "welfare state". Grrrrrrr.:mad::mad::mad:

But I am keeping to my promise to myself and am doing CNN in the am now. I can't do WJ because of the total idiots who call in. I've never been able to do the network morning shows. I could be about ready to move to classical music in the morning.

2. What gets me is the talking point "special interest groups"
The "special interest groups" that the republicans speak of are the common people--but they can't poison the well by speaking of giving things to ordinary middle class Americans... people that don't bother reading the actual bill but depend on talking heads to do it just go away with the knowledge that "they" won't be helped...only people who are under their station in life or over their station in life will be helped. Makes it easier to kill this bill.
Taking care of corporations is paramount in everything they do. Simply everything. When the common person internalizes that...change will come.

4. Out of all your choices classical music is most likely the only thing that has any worth.

5. But here's what I'm wondering - I've sworn off Morning Joe
but could some of you keep watching and reporting their asininity? Then I can come onto your threads and tell you that I've given them up and you should too (very rewarding for me) AND I get to keep up with their asininity (very rewarding for me).

6. LOL! I had the same experience this morning.
What is almost as annoying a WHAT they are saying is that they are all talking at the same time!

My reaction was to mentally compose a rabid letter to the program director telling him/her just why they will never be able to count me among the viewers of their morning show.

SHEESH! What a way to start the day!:grr:

7. I Like Those WJ Idiots...
Around here CNN almost doesn't exist anymore. I can't stomache anyone on that network...and that comes from someone who used to watch them 24/7 for over 20 years. Today it's a joke.

MSNBC doen't exist on my teevee until at least noontime if not later. Every so often I'll tune in Mrs. Greenspan or enjoy David Schuester, but the rest of the bobbleheads during the day and Joey's morning treehouse have never interested me. The dude has always been a bully and probably now feels he's the lone "repugnican" at the network and must overcompensate to balance out the higher rated evening shows.

WJ can be lots of fun...especially with the whackos. They can be as amusing as they are iritating. There are also a lot of great Democratic and Progressive callers, too...a far greater representation of what people are thinking than you'll find anywhere else in the corporate media.

Cheers...

8. I haven't been doing much CNN at all lately
so who knows how long I can last with them? Maybe I will give WJ a shot. I pretty much relied on MSNBC for news and comment.

(I can't believe that MTP is sooooo bad with David Gregory - they need to rethink that decision pronto. Shuster would be far better in my opinion - send Gregory back to the White House.)

9. Sunday Morning Is A Waste...
I go back to the days when "Meet The Press" really meant that...a "newsmaker" facing a group of reporters. No one knew Lawrence Spivak from the man in the moon. I tuned out when Timmeh made it into a personality show...catering to sound bites, gotchas and "conventional wisdom"...or as I call it "beltway babble". Gregory soaks in that babble...thus worthless...as are all the other Sunday bobbleheads.

Thank goodness for the blogs for real news and comment. The cables are more amusement than information now...lots of egos and little substance.

Cheers...

12. I know - we were so hoping that MTP would go back to that old format
The rest of Sunday morning pretty much depends on who the guests are and who's doing the interview or moderating.

I am soooo tired of the same old talking heads over and over and over. George Will and Cokie Roberts? What kind of polaroids are in their possession to keep them front and center for so long when they are so boring and predictable? I'd like to see more Katrina Van Denheuvel(?), I'm liking Martha Raditch(?)a lot lately and Dan Rather is interesting.
