15. There's a rare skill.
It's always sad to lose someone, but it always has a mean edge when they were striving to create beauty or be a force for good.

I'm so sorry.

16. Enjoy your
R&R Squatch! My husband is going in July, though who knows where. They keep changing the orders. Afghan, Iraq. Afghan, Iraq. We're getting whiplash lol. ;) (I joke because, well, it's a way to deal. No offense meant. ;))

4. Two alternatives:
1) Meat comes from the grocery store in little refrigerated styrofoam trays. I guess they make it in a factory somewhere.

2) Hamburgers are nature's way of telling cows they're too stupid to survive on their own.

Thank you, that is all.

6. Im a vegetarian who advocates hunting
If the only meat ever eaten was hunted meat, we would all be in much better shape physically and environmentally.

7. As I said elsewhere
I don't oppose hunting for good reason. Trophy hunting, canned hunts, or hunting for fun are things that I'm not okay with.

I'm vegan.

And no, my shoes, purse, and belt are not made of leather, before anyone asks. Canvas, hemp, and recycled stuff are my materials of choice, thanks.

9. I'm a vegan that thinks "shooting and killing" (nee hunting) is just a selfish act.
Bring it.

12. I don't broad brush.
Lots of folks do things that might be considered selfish. Hell, everyone does something daily that could be seen as such.

But, for the topic at hand...

"Hunting" ie "shooting and killing" animals needlessly doesn't really need to be farmed in with a lot of other stuff.

13. I could illustrate how you've broad-brushed at least twice in this thread
but, that would serve no purpose. It would merely be a selfish act on my part. :)

19. What about
other animals besides humans that hunt for food to feed their children, including our cousins the chimpanzees? Isn't it kind of "selfish" also to put humans above other animals? Or to put "civilized" vegan humans over tribal hunters-gatherers?

I'm a gardener and so I know that when I die hunted and killed by dunno what, I will be eaten by the multitude of worms and other tiny ones of the earth, so that plants can feed on healthy soil, feed herbivores who will feed carnivores etc, in the great cycle of Life.

Are worms and plants also selfish? If all life is selfish, should we not condemn all life and cherish the Void?
