I'm on way home from Canada....
...after a successful trip. My host took me out to lunch and during the course of the conversation he told me that nearly every person in his circle was elated at the election of President Obama. He said that Canadians are cautiously optimistic that the United States will return to its former prominence in the world now that the Two Shoes/Shitstain reign of terror is now over. He also relayed the following story, during a recent vacation, a typical loud-mouthed right-wing started flapping his gums about, "how the media really elected Obama and not the American people." I told him that the typical right wing fuckwit strategy is to employ a loud and bellicose stance and dare anyone to lower him/herself to his level. He agreed and I further stated that the only way to pipe these pipsqueaks down is to challenge their beliefs and asinine, uninformed opinions and they will wilt like the fucking cowards that they are.

Nice to know that Team Canada is grateful for our victory.

1. Nice to know we could be BFFs again.
Bush probably had them on his list of countries to invade.

2. "wildly popular" according to Pentagon
"I think it's based upon the fact that while the new president is enormously popular in this country, with extremely high approval ratings, he is wildly popular in many European nations."

I thought that was funny, coming from the Pentagon. More truthful than the media has been.

3. Never has a US president so thoroughly aliented and insulted Canada as GWB did.
They're glad to see the back of him.

I spend a lot of time in Toronto.
