2. Ridiculous Event

The election is 21 months away; the Dem convention is 16 months away ... it is totally ridiculous to be staging 'candidate forums' this far out from an election.

And there are undoubtedly candidates still to get into the nomination race!

There is a big mistake going on here, I think. With all these states now thinking about moving their presidential primaries and caucuses into January or February 2008, the contest could be over by March!

What is a presumptive presidential nominee going to do for seven months? Except receive a blistering assault from the radical Republicans that Jesus Christ, himself, could not survive.

I think this 'way too early' stuff is going to backlash. If this keeps up, I would predict that candidate fatigue will cause voters to look for alternatives -- I predict more third and independent party candidates than ever in 2008 because of this 'never-ending campaigning' strategy.
