Is anyone watching "Oprah" right now?
I never watch the show, but a DU pal gave me a heads-up that Ted Haggard and his wife would be on.

I've been watching it.

It is unbelievable. His wife is The Queen Of Denial, he's just grinning and smirking his way through it, and their pronouncements that a person really does have choices about his sexuality are just off the wall.

I cannot stop watching this. It's grotesque. And really entertaining.

Why are they doing this? Besides the HBO special, I mean.

2. I don't believe a word that lying hypocrite says
He has no credibility and his wife is a fool. Unbelievable! He calls himself a "heterosexual with issues." :eyes:

3. I would rather stick a hot fork in my eye.
I wouldn't watch if the Pope tap-danced his way up the aisle, to the tune of *Oh you Beautiful Boy*. "O" for OVER-rated. :puke:

9. I think they're sad
It's a freak show.

And not in that fun way, either.

I'm not watching it, but I do normally enjoy Oprah when she has on current events, or decorating, or health related topics.

11. Massive rationalization and self-delusion
He's trying so hard to appear as if he is at peace, with himself, but it's obvious he's still in DEEP struggle and denial. I guess I give the family credit, for staying together. I do feel sorry for his kids. People of that deep "religious" mind set are a real mystery, to me.

14. I was talking back to the television
I am absolutely disappointed with Oprah Winfrey. She could have made sure he and his wife felt the sting of their hypocrisy; she didn't. I'm also disappointed that she did not point out that we are born with our sexual orientation, that it is NOT a "sin".

Come on, Oprah.
