11. That's what his strategy is...
His painting of the Repubs as the party of partisan is masterful. They are pissing and moaning themselves into obscurity.

4. Not gonna happen. People are working too hard to keep their heads
above water. They can't spare the time. That is just where Bush and the Republicans wanted us. Too tired, too scared, too overworked to do anything. Keep your eye on the chess player. He is going to surprise them.

To the ideas that got us in this sorry mess! What an idiot. Does he not know we were all paying close attention? Someone call a doctor! This boner has been swollen for too long.

10. Yeah my brother-in-law had the best ideas too
He was going to be rich doing nothing -- and his ideas didn't work out either.

That's all the GOP has is "good ideas," but they're all pipe dreams and fantasies. Their track record really really sucks.

9. Yeah, but
If Roubini is correct in his prediction, pretty soon there will be six million newly unemployed people just pissed off enough to do something drastic. If only 10 percent of them show up in front of Congress, you'll see some action.

8. Why do we need to remind them?
They know they lost and furthermore, we don't need their votes to pass our legislation.

I don't know why people are getting so upset over this.

12. The only words Rethugs know about economic policy are
TAX CUTS.
Madame DeFarge is getting her needles and Marat is lurking somewhere.

13. there was a great AFL-CIO march on DC in 82, let's do likewise
only it needs to be way broader than just the unions. "Americans coming home" or something like that. Flood the capital with 2 million (OK, the Inauguration was a good pass at that but anyway). In Europe they can get 100,000 onto the streets of medium-sized cities every week when they don't like what the gov't is doing, and they have general strikes frequently enough to have an effect. We've forgotten what people power means, peacefully, in the street. Let's remember.
