US spent $52.4 Billion...
on nuclear weapons last year. $47 Billion for upkeep alone.

WTF is wrong with this country? Haven't the people running this puzzle factory heard that times are tight and we've got to cut back?

Why are the Repubs... or anybody... quibbling over a few paltry millions for birth control.

7. And that's just starters.
Our "military budget" doesn't include items such as the cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, CIA activities, and the Veteran's Administration. The military budget does not include any portion of the interest payments on debt.

Nuclear weapons are also subsidized by budgets of other agencies. Link to another article (cited in the original article):http://carnegieendowment.org/publications/index.cfm?fa=view&id=22601&prog=zgp&proj=znpp

Excerpt: "Nuclear weapons and weapons-related programs account for at least 67 percent of DOE’s budget, 8.5 percent of the FBI’s budget, 7.1 percent of the Department of Defense budget, and 1.7 percent of the Department of Homeland Security’s budget."

They just do not give a shit about this country or anybody in it, nor anybody's money. All they want is POWER.
