On Morning Jerk, they are speculating about who trashed Caroline.
They are blaming everyone from Hillary and Bill (of course), to making a new Blago out of Paterson.

If they could surf the nets, you know, do the absolute minimum research, they would find this:

Hired PR gun doomed Caroline, insiders say

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2009/01/26/2009-01-26_hired_pr_gun_doomed_caroline_insiders_sa.html

Gov. Paterson's decision to go nuclear on Caroline Kennedy was a hatchet job run by a pricey out-of-state consultant who specializes in political scandals, disgruntled administration sources said.

Judy Smith, a Washington-based PR guru and former Bush White House deputy press secretary, orchestrated the ill-conceived character attack on Kennedy, sources said Sunday.

There was an internal agreement among Paterson staffers to refrain from attacking Kennedy.

Then came the leaks from inside the governor's office that Kennedy's supposed tax, nanny and marital problems had tanked her bid for Hillary Clinton's Senate seat - taking many staffers by surprise.

"There were radically different statements all coming out of the governor's camp at the exact same time," a Paterson adviser said.

(end snip)

So let me get this straight. Paterson hires a Bushie, and everything goes to hell, and another Dem governor looks silly, and a Kennedy is besmirched. Hey, Morning Jerk, Bill Clinton didn't do this one!

5. I stopped voluntarily watching it until Mika rises up, backhands Joe on the air, and tells him to
STFU because he's a freaking idiot.

2. You know
She has no one to blame but herself, you know. It's not like claiming a Senate seat on the basis of nothing but heredity wasn't stunningly, and you know, blatantly arrogant, you know. It's not like the Senate hasn't already turned into a virtual House of Lords, you know, so, you know, maybe trying to shoehorn in another Senator-by-inheritance wasn't, you know, going to look all that good to the people of New York.

9. my personal take with tinfoil hat on
Hillary wasn't about to allow Caroline to have her seat after Teddy endorsed Obama during the primaries. Maybe I'm making more out of this than necessary but I can't see her getting all chummy with the niece of the man who refused to endorse her candidacy. Anyone else notice every candidate who endorsed Obama over Hillary has had some scandal hit them? Bill and Hillary worked very hard to get their endorsements but lost them to Obama. Edwards with his affair (yeah I know nobody made him fool around but somebody dropped the dime on him), Richardson withdraws his nomination for Secretary of Commerce as a result of an investigation into improper business dealings in New Mexico and Caroline all of a sudden has tax and nanny problems. I don't see her going after Teddy directly but she could get back at him by getting Caroline's candidacy derailed. :tinfoilhat:
