I haven't gushed yet (as you all well know), but I do give credit where credit is due. And it's due now.
I just found out today from our legislator that my school district is slated to received between 1.5 and $2 million dollars for use THIS YEAR. It's being distributed through ESEA and other entitlement programs. It's like they upped the reimbursement rate for these programs from 37% to about 60%. I can't tell you how huge this is for us. Rather than having to furlough people because we can't make payroll, I get to expand after school tutoring programs.
I've very grateful. This is a lifesaver. People's jobs were on the line.
