Rudy Guiliani savaged for toxic Ground Zero mismanagement on KO

Tonight, Keith Olbermann's guest Wayne Barrett, author of Grand Illusion re: Rudy Guiliani, said Rudy's last 3 mos. in office as mayor NYC wasn't so rosy and the author cited the toxic waste site of Ground Zero. Barrett said Guiliani was just an "echo" of everything then Interior Sec. Christy Todd Whitman said about the site being fine. Barrett said as mayor, RG was in charge of the site and is responsible for not protecting 911 first responders who now have 911 toxic lung syndrome.

Barrett also said that RG is now saying it was the feds' responsibility. Let the questions begin about Christy Todd Whitman's role, too. She has plenty to tell us about the 911 site as well as her management of the Interior Dept.

I have mentioned RG's incompetent handling of Ground Zero's toxicity before on DU and was hoping it would be front and center in an election if Rudy ran. :popcorn:

and indeed, it was because he recognized he'd been hypocritical for calling Glenn Beck a Worst Person for ridiculing Rosie O'Donnell's weight when Keith himself had called Roger Ailes a "fatass" in the past--and Keith is not thin himself.

Anyway, I was kind of surprised that Keith, to some small degree, was even buying into the "Rudy the Hero of 9/11" hype, despite having been well familiar with Rudy's not-so-hot reputation before 9/11. Perhaps Keith needs to get schooled a bit on Rudy and 9/11. I have a feeling Keith would not like what he learned one little bit.
