There was a line at the local magazine stand today
some seven or more persons long (at the register), folks buying various newspapers featuring perhaps the most important headline of this decade, and a channel 7 newsvan as well. And several more selecting ones to buy!

There is typically only four persons at the stand at once, maximum.

Hooray President Obama!

1. A friend in Greece made me buy her a NYT.
She wanted two, but I got her one.

2. Great to hear! I took the day off yesterday, but my boss...

had sent out an email letting anyone who wanted to, go to the multipurpose room to watch the inauguration. And I found out that one of my co-workers had her twins (boy and a girl) yesterday! On her white board was, 'She had her twins! The 20th was a wonderful day for everyone!'

3. I have a friend in Chicago who will probably get one like she did for the election.
It will stay in the bottom of a drawer or box until someone cleans it out when I die. Such is life.

4. I kid you not.
I went to the store to pick up a paper. The Des Moines Herald had 20% off shoe coupons pasted on the picture of President Obama. Needless to say, I bought the other paper. Gee, I wonder why they weren't selling more newspapers.
Dumbasses.

6. I got my local fish wrapper...
I should have bought more copies, but it was at 8 AM, and the stack was pretty thin by then.
