Been wanting to do it for ages. I liked the connotations of the term "ribofunk" in the late 80s, but that was almost 20 years ago, and it's gotten a little old.

I love odd handles -- FUBAR, IamJoesEyeball, Ironweed, etc, but in practice they get embarrassing.

"On the Road" is sufficiently ambiguous so that no one has to know it refers to the Kerouac novel. I can use it on stock market boards, too.

87. I did go and it was Perfect! I flew all

day Thanksgiving and spent the next 5 days there. They have a house up in Hood River, too, so we went up there for the weekend looking for snow that was hard to find then.

As you know the weather was pretty perfect around that time..but later I hear ya'll got big snow and the city shut down. My daughter kept saying about her kids.."they were housebound for a week".:silly:

I figured you were busy..I love Portland..good times with my son and his wife there too from Kaua'i. :hug:

Yep -- In December we got some 'a that snow! Hooo boy! It was lots of fun, for the most part. (Although Portland is not equipped to deal with it and everything just shuts down for days on end.) My kids loved it. We have a long sloping driveway that runs right by our house and the neighbors made a two-entrance sledrun complete with Xmas lights for nigh sledding. So cool. They will always remember that time.

I'll miss my sig for a month. But some choad who is now on my ignore list used my initials to find stuff out about me and post it here. I'd never planned on being a regular poster, or I wouldn't have used MPK. My new screen name is inspired by the history of science, which is something I use in my artwork. Plus it sounds pretty and I like the way the Obamas use stars in all their graphics. So it has a little of everything.
