Are fedoras coming back in style? I hope so. I would love to see a return to the classic era of dress.

And who was that in the red hat?

1. I know... I love men in Fedoras...
Many women, too... Take Kate Hepburn--she could wear a hat and the clothes of the era.

6. Teddy DID look great
I think I would have preferred the front of the brim bent down, but that's just me

3. As a fedora owner I offer this warning
the weather and drunk bar patrons are your two worst enemies. You need to take great care to have a movie perfect well starched hat.

7. but it's worth the effort for the hand full of attractive young women
who admire our hats. Have you been to the fedora lounge?

http://www.thefedoralounge.com/

8. I'm still waiting for the attractive young women
Maybe it's because I wear an Irish walking hat instead of a snappy fedora.

4. I would love to return to an era where ladies wore hats and gloves (loved Michelle's gloves!)
and men also wore hats, not just on special occasions but as everyday street wear. Used to be a lady didn't go downtown without dressing properly, even as late as the 70's when I was little. Nowadays I am actually seeing women in public wearing what looks to be flannel pajama bottoms and bedroom slippers in public. I admit I wear sweats while running errands, but jammies in public? Never! And logos and words written across young girls' butts? Awful!

5. I'm a beret man myself...
I nabbed a cool red German surplus one for $2.99...has a bit of an 'artiste' thing going on that I dig... :D I'm not normally a hat-wearer otherwise...though I could dig a fedora with a Blues Brothers-type suit for fancier gigs, since I am a blues, funk, and R&B musician. :)

Todd in Cheesecurdistan
(incidentally, shameless plug for the band: www.myspace.com/theblueolives ) :D
