My little sisters wanted to celebrate inauguration, so this afternoon we decided to make a cake dedicated to this amazing day! Happy inauguration day, or as they said - "Happy Obama is President Day!"

that shouldn't happen.. vimeo is a secure website and i can't think of why you'd be getting an error. i don't use IE so i can't give any advice on it :shrug:

I kept hitting the no button on the question that asked did I want to keep running scripts on the page. It happened at the end so it didn't interfere with the video.

6. Awww... that video was a great way to wrap up my 18+ hours of Inaugural glee!

I was inspired to bake too. I made my Raspberry Oatmeal cookies, which appropriately enough come out with funny-looking (but YUMMY) blue and red spots all over them from the raspberries and their juice. I have rechristened them

"Barack Oatbama Cookies"

17. I invented them one day when I was out of raisins but had frozen rapsberries.

Had to break them into smaller pieces and add more flour & oats to keep them from being too runny and flat, but they are quite tasty if I do say do myself.

Since they are red, white (well "oatmeal") and blue, they seemed like the perfect treat for today--- plus the opportunity to make a goofy play on words was too much to resist. LOL. ;)

even though i uploaded over an hour ago. they must be running slow tonight due to people uploading videos from the inauguration!

there's still cake left. each of the girls and jeremy ate a piece. i'm not a chocolate fan myself, so i haven't eaten but a bit to make sure it didn't taste horrible. :P

i'm not a big chocolate person. i HATE chocolate from the store. every now and then i like some homemade dark chocolate icing, but if i eat much i feel sick. sweet overload!
