3. ask St. Therese to help him
she was made a doctor of the Church under Pope John Paul II.

She is a powerful saint!

It could not hurt. :)

27. Thankfully, Teddy is in the hands of competent human doctors
Edited on Tue Jan-20-09 04:20 PM by stopbush
who can do the best that we can expect for him.

The prayers are a quaint idea, of course, but when push comes to shove, do you wish Teddy the best doctors available or the best invisible spirits to get him through this crisis? He needs those doctors right now. The gods? Not so much.

Get real. What's wrong with looking to real live beings to help Teddy?

28. You "get real"...at least long enough to read the post correctly
..I said nothing that could be remotely construed as pitting doctors against "invisible spirits"..or "gods"

I was simply commenting on the poster's bravery in assuming she could safely invoke anything "religious" around here...For the record, I'm agnostic, but I dislike the knee-jerk insults that are routinely hurled at believers on this board.

8. God bless you,Teddy!
He looked a little confused and stressed at the start of the luncheon, if anyone else saw that, I did. The massive nature of this event isn't good on people who are ill already, as it's such an exciting day, and the blood is pumping.

God bless you, Teddy!

But if it is his time, then he can give some timely comments personally to his brother up there in the afterlife that his prediction of us having a man of color as president was accurate today, albeit a little early (RFK had said 30 years instead of 40 years)...

23. NBC mentioned both Byrd and Kennedy are OK.
Kennedy's in the hospital getting looked at, but he's awake and alert, and apparently spoke to President Obama on the phone already.

Byrd apparently is also OK.

Good news.
