Had I gone to DC, there are so many things that I wouldn't have seen
I've been to three of these things and there's so much that one misses by being just in the crowd

Everyone's faces on the podium

Bush skipping town (about fucking time)

President Obama's first official act

Jimmy Carter talking to Robert Byrd

Democrats firmly in control

On the other hand, I miss hanging out with other DUers in DC

And eating at my favorite joints in the area

1. The atmosphere in that Capitol dome was downright collegial..
we haven't seen that in so long. John and Cindy McCain hugging and kissing Bill Clinton? Wow, a page has been turned. It's like a toxic cloud has been lifted.
