To the Editor,

The liberal left in Washington has screamed about how bad the economy is for so long and shaken it so badly with their statements. Not to mention the laws they passed affecting the situation caused by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and where we find ourselves today. They managed to convince enough of the unlearned and uneducated to vote for their people. We now have a very left leaning administration and Congress and the only thing I hear them saying about the economy is more stimulus, which means higher taxes, and reforming Social Security, which means the old, sick and disabled will pay for the left’s stupid judgement. They can claim to be for the “Little Man” all they want, but their actions speak much louder.

1. I don't know what to say about your letter other than I don't
AGREE WITH IT. Maybe you wanted to portrait the hypocricy of some liberals in the government? but you generalized.

3. The tone of your letter explains why it was printed.

5. You may want to explain this better.
People might think you agree with this idiot.

7. Sometimes someone is so dumb
there's no educating them. I'd say that is the case with the person who wrote this letter. Don't let it get you down.

8. The right has always been good at...
...creating a narrative. This moron has accepted the narrative: "liberals bad, conservatives*** good" (where *** == not really conservative, but that's for another day); "taxes bad bad bad"; "Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae loaned to POOR FOLK and that's the basis of the whole meltdown!!!" (never mind the fraudulent paper that was mass produced on Wall Street, largely due to deregulation pushed by the Republicks -- this dim bulb is far too dumb and ideologically rigid to go there).

We have to become good a creating narrative. That is what sticks with people. Although hopefully we won't have people quite this mindless supporting *our* narrative...
