7. Dear Martin Luther King, Jr.,
Tomorrow, a man will stand upon your mighty shoulders and those of your many civil rights fighters/fellow patriots. He is a Constitutional scholar, an incredibly intelligent man, a thoughtful man and a man who may possibly save our nation and come to be known as the greatest President we've ever had. Notice, Sir, that I did not say he is a black Constitutional scholar, nor did I mention that he is an incredibly intelligent black man, a black man who may possibly save our nation and come to be known as the greatest black President we've ever had. While the powers that be threw every kind of subtle racial game at us, in the end, we the people judged him by the content of his soul, not the color of his skin.

The progress is so slow and I'm so sorry you aren't around to see us inaugurate this amazing man who just happens to be black.

Rest Well, Reverend King, you did well and I hope we can and will continue your work.
