8. I'd rather see a DUzy nomination button ... and other "assists" for that laudatory endeavor.

There's already a 'Recommend' button and 'kick' is merely a post -- which (horror of horrors) COULD contain words of wisdom or entertainment. "Some people" might like to see a thread 'kicked' when it's Recommended.

Recommendations are votes of support, kicks are new comments (most of the time).

A kick and rec button would be subject to abuse, a bunch of threads rising to the top without new content, what a mess.
