8. Thank you for asking that question. I just looked and my checks...
...are from the US Treasury. SSDI would be Federal, then...right?

Perhaps I freaked prematurely.

But for those relying on the state...wow...I can't believe they'd shaft the poor first. I mean cognitively I always knew that they would, but seeing them even hint at doing such a thing...wow.

I don't even know how to feel.

6. Seems like political theatre at the moment. If it ever came close, the
Feds would step in is my guess.

12. I think I'm OK - mine's a Federal check. Some money may come from...
...the state. I'm not sure.

Still, it's a scary thing to have to complicate and it may have set me back a bit health-wise. It's a hell of a thing telling someone who's on disability they may not get to live anymore. For some of us, that's what would happen.

9. Not to fear - I think.

You are in Californias budget crunch. I understand it is tax rebates & welfare checks that won't be delivered unless a state agreement is reached. And it whet onto say, if it "is reached," the checks will still not arrive on time.

I suggest you find out by calling the state tomorrow, and going down and sign up for food or other benefits you may need. Hopefully you landlord will understand. Most important, keep calm, and reason your way through this.

10. Same here. Well, unemployment and my college financial aid.
Which would be all of my expected income for next month. Unless I finally find a new job, and sadly that seems unlikely.

Do you have a tax refund coming? My worst case scenario is to get that ASAP, via one of those ripoff loans if I have to, because I might need it to pay the rent. Still waiting on my W2 though, my douchebag ex-boss will mail it the last day legally required even if he already has it ready.
