Spreading Democracy in the world through music.
Dare I say it. The broadcast of the Opening Ceremony for Obama's inauguration surely did more to spread the message of democracy to oppressed people all over the world than all of Bush's stupid speeches and violent invasions ever could. We are one because of our system of democracy, imperfect as it is.

The ceremony (or at least the part of it that I saw) was just beautiful. What a wonderful celbration of the unique American experience.

3. We saw it thanks to HBO being free today also. It was
amazing. The Eagles and Bono and old Pete Seeger finally seeing his dream come true. Amazing.

6. It was not free with my cable company so I had to pay $14.00 to order hbo and then
demanded it be cancelled after my showing and was not a happy camper that they charged in the first place.

7. Any thing that has to do with this inauguration should be free for all to see (probably not the
the balls) but this concert should have been on main stream tv.
