The AJC recently hired a new editor, and the paper is now recruiting for a new conservative writer for their editorial page (the announcement can be found here: http://www.ajc.com/opinion/content/opinion/stories/2009/01/16/ajc_conservative_columnist.html)

The current wingnut conservative writer, Jim Wooten, has announced his retirement.

Wooten was/is nothing but a Bush water carrier, who once proclaimed that he would "proudly share a foxhole with GW Bush".

Good riddance to bad garbage.

Is this the Jim Wooten you're referring to? Is that his picture? (Of course it is, but I just have to make sure.)

Because there's an old ABC newsman named Jim Wooten, and I never got the sense that he had any particular ideology. He was a real pro. For all I know, he may still be reporting.
