I have listened to the exit interviews of both President Bush
and Vice President Cheney.
In the context of these "interviews", I have not heard one question,
or an impromptu statement, about one major player in the Bush Plan.
Halliburton is conspicuous in its abscence.
The one major player on the civilian side of the war earns
"no comment".

It's been rumored that Halliburton has as many mercinaries in
Iraq as the government has military personnel.
These include the "Blackwater" private army.
Halliburton and its subsidiaries are the unprecedented "receivers"
of military dollars in the "war zone".

When I was in the military, there was some hint of government
collusion with civilian contractors. There were contracts that
seemed questionable at that time. Nothing in the scope of the dollars spent in Iraq. It is amazing to me that these contracts were even considered......too many contracts to the same companies. It must make a difference when the Vice President is the former CEO of the civilian contractor.
When trillions of dollars were spent, where did all that money go?
There must be an audit somewhere.
We would all like to see it.

What links them in an immediate way is the global arms industry, as corrupt as it is invisible, which does a trillion dollars worth of business annually worldwide, is crucial to every major economy and is therefore served, either with overt collusion or discreet silence, by governments and the mass media.
