Retired White House butler
NPR yesterday. He was at WH I think he said thru 9 presidents.
He told one heart warming story. In 79 Queen Elizibeth and Prince Charles were visiting. During a dinner party while he was carrying a tray of drinks he saw Prince Phillip standing by himself in the "Red Room". He thought kind of odd.

Anyway he went in and asked the Prince if he would like a cordial. Prince Phillip said yes,but only if you let me serve you.
Which he did and they shared a drink and conversation.

Every thing I have read about Philip said that he was rude, impressed with his royalty and demanding. Nice to hear he is human after all.
