1. Fuck.
If it's that narrow, it'll never get through the Senate.

At least it passed. That's some momentum, I suppose. You can't claim the Dems are "refusing to fund the troops."

7. Hey - it's a start.
The GOP Senators have already stated they will stand firm and we all know how Lieberbutt will vote. This is what we need now and if they can keep the momentum up, it will get through that the Americans are sick and tired of this war and all the shit that comes with it.

8. It Would be Best to Have a Bill That Passes Both Houses

even if it's vetoed. Second best is to have a bill that everyone knows would pass but is filibustered.

It will do wonders for Democratic Party unity and support from the grassroots.

All that's missing is for the Senate Democrats to threaten the nuclear option.
